CAYUGA PARK MEDICAL OFFICE BUILDING

This new construction 65,000 SF medical office building combines a walk-in clinic, laboratory services, a FQHC primary care and dental clinic, diagnostic imaging, specialty outpatient clinic space, and a comprehensive women’s health center all in one facility. The exterior envelope was designed to mimic sea glass, driftwood and shale rocks found on the shores of nearby Cayuga Lake in Ithaca, New York. The asymmetrical facade engages the building on the lower two floors with the context of the site while the upper three floors turn to face views of the hillside community and adjacent waterfront.

Part of a larger 20-acre development, the building was designed to meet LEED and WELL Building criteria to enhance patient care and the staff work environment. The project features a five-story wellness stair and indoor walking track, low emitting and non-PVC building materials, plus respite spaces to support mental wellness and staff retention. The building features multiple connections to outdoors including biking trails and an expansion to the nearby local community gardens.
