HOSPICE OF JEFFERSON COUNTY EXPANSION

The Hospice of Jefferson County expansion project builds upon the organization’s longstanding commitment to providing compassionate, end-of-life care to patients and their families throughout the North Country. The expansion includes the addition of new patient suites, family gathering areas, and enhanced clinical and support spaces designed to foster comfort, dignity, and peace. Every element of the project was guided by the hospice’s mission—to create a home-like environment where patients can receive high-quality care surrounded by warmth and support. The design integrates natural light, calming colors, and views to the outdoors, reflecting a deep understanding of the emotional and spiritual dimensions of hospice care.

In addition to expanding capacity, the project modernizes existing spaces to improve functionality and staff efficiency. Updated infrastructure, enhanced accessibility, and flexible care areas ensure the facility can meet evolving community needs for years to come. Sustainable materials and energy-efficient systems were incorporated to promote environmental stewardship and operational longevity. The result is a welcoming, restorative setting that supports the holistic needs of patients, families, and caregivers alike—strengthening Hospice of Jefferson County’s role as a trusted place of healing, reflection, and compassion in the community.
