SCHROON LAKE CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT

Renovations at Schroon Lake Central School District have transformed the campus into a more accessible, modern, and engaging learning environment. The former gymnasium was completely reconstructed into a new auditorium, providing a dedicated space for student performances, assemblies, and community events. A new classroom addition was constructed above existing areas, expanding instructional space to better support evolving educational programs and flexible learning needs. These updates enhance both functionality and the overall student experience, creating a cohesive and contemporary campus environment.

Additional improvements focused on safety, accessibility, and long-term building performance. A new elevator now provides full wheelchair accessibility throughout the main building, while upgraded toilet rooms, restored masonry, and enhanced plumbing, mechanical, and electrical systems ensure comfort and reliability. The installation of new data and communication infrastructure, along with a modern fire alarm system, strengthens the school’s technological and life-safety capabilities. Collectively, these renovations reflect a commitment to providing a safe, inclusive, and future-ready facility for students, staff, and the greater Schroon Lake community.
